The Wielewaal is a beautiful estate located in Eindhoven Noordwest near Flight Forum. The estate is currently not accessible to the public, but that will change in the future.
Before it is opened to the public, the municipality is creating a development vision with plans, wishes, and ambitions for the Wielewaal and the surrounding area, the city forest. This is a large, green area in Eindhoven Noordwest. The development vision covers the entire area. Share your opinion and ideas in the City Forest Labyrinth or via the survey at www.eindhoven.nl/wielewaal.
You can give your opinion in the first weeks of December. The City Forest Labyrinth is a maze where you make choices for the city forest and the Wielewaal. What do you miss in the city forest? What do you think is important for the Wielewaal? How do we deal with greenery, heritage, and opening up the Wielewaal? You can visit the City Forest Labyrinth at four different locations in the city. The City Forest Labyrinth can be found in the Philips de Jonghwandelpark on December 2nd from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on December 3rd from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On December 8th, you can find it on Groenewoudseweg and on December 9th on Gelderlandplein, both from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Finally, you can visit on December 14th at 18-septemberplein from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Would you rather give your opinion digitally? Then fill out the online survey. This can be done between December 2nd and 18th via the website: www.eindhoven.nl/wielewaal.
Follow-up
We collect all ideas and opinions and incorporate them into the development vision where possible. We will also discuss with partners in the city, such as entrepreneurs and interest groups. We will also test the opinions and ideas against the guidelines agreed upon with the city council. Then the draft vision will be made available for review and anyone can respond. The council will finalize the vision by the end of 2023. At the earliest, the Wielewaal will be partially open to the public by mid-2025. Want to know more? Visit www.eindhoven.nl/wielewaal.
