A green area with a wide range of functions and plenty of room for personal initiatives: that’s what the new Flight Forum will be. It’s a developing part of Eindhoven where employees, residents, students, and visitors can meet each other in modern green streets, squares, cafes, and to-go shops. A good mix of amenities is an important step in making Flight Forum a lively area. The plinths around the central square of Flight Forum will therefore be an important catalyst for creating an attractive area. In addition to working, Flight Forum will have a program of residential and leisure functions that invite people to meet; from short-stay to hospitality and from to-go shops to meeting locations. Here you can have coffee with neighbors or colleagues, enjoy a nice lunch, hold an event outdoors among the greenery, and quickly shop for ingredients for your dinner. With the arrival of new amenities and inviting entrances, Flight Forum is transforming into a place where it is pleasant to work, stay, and live.
Short-stay
This year Flight Forum started preparing a pilot to add short-stay housing to (new) buildings. Short-stay housing gives knowledge workers and labor migrants a soft landing in the Brainport. Also (international) students and people looking for temporary housing will soon be able to come to Flight Forum.
Other forms of business activity
The (new) buildings at Flight Forum will provide space for healthcare clinics, laboratories, and educational institutions. These new developments are helping to drive the desired mix of functions and densification. The establishment of educational institutions, healthcare clinics, and laboratories will also bring many additional visitors and employees. This creates a unique and vibrant area where the energy is palpable 24/7!
Green
In addition to its iconic buildings, Flight Forum is characterized by its green surroundings. The network of green streets all lead to the soon-to-be-realized impressive central square. Furthermore, Flight Forum is located between the third green lung of Eindhoven and the Brabant Kempen landscape with villages such as Wintelre, Knegsel, Vessem, and Middelbeers. Also, special locations such as the Philips Fruit Garden, De Herdgang (PSV), and Landgoed De Wielewaal are all just a stone’s throw away.

With the Eindhoven Airport District area vision, the challenges for the area around Eindhoven Airport have been defined for the next 20 years in terms of liveliness, sustainability, greening, accessibility, and circular economy. The new heart of Eindhoven Airport District – formed by the area between the terminal of Eindhoven Airport and the office cluster of Flight Forum – will contribute to a new attractive and green entrance to Eindhoven.
