MyOffice, led by Leandra Troost, is expanding its successful workspace concept with a new location at Flight Forum. The company, known for its flexible and welcoming work environments, hopes to open the doors of the new building early next year. We spoke with Leandra Troost about her vision and the unique approach of MyOffice.
From idea to successful concept
Leandra Troost, founder and CEO of MyOffice, started her business in 2017 with the idea of transforming traditional office buildings into modern workspaces where professionals feel at home. “This concept emerged when I was managing a building in Zwolle with my other company, The Project Company, which needed a new purpose after a tenant left,” Troost explains. “Together with the building owner, we decided to make the property more attractive by setting it up as a modern office building with flexible workspaces and communal areas like a coffee corner and lunch space. This idea proved successful, leading to the creation of MyOffice. The first building in Zwolle was an immediate success, followed by rapid expansions to other cities such as Groningen, Utrecht, Enschede, and Almere.”
Unique workspaces for diverse users
MyOffice offers a range of workspaces, from virtual offices to fully furnished offices. “We start with a virtual office, ideal as a mailing address, and then have flexible contracts where you can find a spot during opening hours. For those who want a fixed spot, there’s MyDesk, with a personal desk and storage space, and MySpace for 1 to 5 workstations,” Troost explains. “MyCustom offers customization: from a single workstation to a fully furnished floor, and MyMeeting for renting meeting rooms.” This variety makes MyOffice attractive to different businesses, from freelancers to larger teams, and ensures a dynamic work environment.
The flexibility of MyOffice also contributes to growth. “We have tenants who start small with just two people and grow internally. It’s important for staff to be in a nice place with various facilities where they feel comfortable. We have success stories of tenants growing from two to ten people and eventually moving to a larger space.”
Hospitality as a distinguishing factor
What truly sets MyOffice apart is the emphasis on hospitality and personal service. “We know our tenants by name and provide an environment where they really feel at home,” says Troost proudly. With amenities such as an espresso bar, a daily lunch buffet, and various events, MyOffice creates a community within the building. “Our team is always ready to support tenants, whether it’s a technical question or organizing a social gathering.”
Flexibility in times of change
The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the demand for flexible workspaces. Troost notes that many companies appreciate the flexibility of MyOffice, especially since contracts can often be terminated monthly. This gives businesses the freedom to quickly adapt to changing circumstances without long-term commitments. “Despite the flexibility, most tenants stay with us for a long time because they experience the benefits of our hospitable and well-equipped workspaces,” says Troost.
Why Flight Forum?
Flight Forum was chosen because of its strategic location and dynamic business ecosystem. “Eindhoven has always been on our shortlist due to the growing market and innovative atmosphere,” Troost explains. The choice for Flight Forum perfectly aligns with the MyOffice concept: providing high-quality, flexible workspaces in an inspiring environment.
“The building at Flight Forum is just a beautiful building. We can get started there quickly and hope to begin renting out early next year. We notice that our name is becoming more well-known and that there is a lot of interest. We already have an internal pool of tenants eager to come to Eindhoven. It all feels familiar, making the step very easy for them.” “We are already seeing a lot of interest from our existing network and expect the new location to fill up quickly,” Troost adds. Additionally, non-tenants can also use our facilities such as the coffee bar, lunch service, and meeting rooms, making MyOffice an attractive meeting place for everyone in the Flight Forum area.
